The deal map shows the top deals of the content landscape in February 2015. This includes enterprise cloud collaboration, business intelligence tools, content marketing solutions, news tools, publishing and information providers.

Deals span from high-profile players such as Taboola and WeTransfer to startups looking to challenge the major tech companies operating in the sector.

The largest deal of the month was New York-based Content discovery firm Taboola raising $117m in a round of Series E funding led by Fidelity Management and Research Company. The new backing brings the 2007-raised company’s total raised to $157m.

This month we also saw a few mergers and acquisitions including American analytic data platform, Teradata Corporation, acquiring provider of big data archives, RainStar, aiming to improve Teradata’s Hadoop solutions. Automated Insights, a North Carolina-based startup backed by Associated Press and Samsung developing technology to turn raw data in narrative text, was also acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners. In addition, cloud-based management firm Coupa acquired Zenpurchase, a San Francisco-based firm that offers collaborative enterprise procurement software, with the objective to intergate Zenpurchase’s technology into their platform.
